The nomenclature and meaning of the general indication signs are as follows:
S-1b. Multi-lane road. Indicates the beginning of a multi-lane road and, therefore, the point from which special traffic rules apply on this type of road. This sign may indicate the branch of a junction leading to a multi-lane road.
S-1c. 2+1 road. Indicates the beginning of a 2+1 road, i.e., one consisting of three lanes and allowing traffic in both directions. The center lane is used to facilitate overtaking maneuvers and is alternately reserved for both directions of traffic. This sign may also indicate the branch of an intersection leading to a 2+1 road.
S-2b. End of multilane road. Indicates the end of a multilane road.
S-2c. End of 2+1 road. Indicates the end of a 2+1 road.
S‐14c. Pedestrian overpass with ramp. Indicates the location of a pedestrian overpass with a ramp.

S-17a. Required parking. Indicates a place where vehicle parking is authorized solely for a specific purpose (access to a pharmacy, hospital, etc.), the pictogram of which will be included on the sign, and for a specified period of time. The duration of this time will be indicated on an additional panel.
S‐26a. Exit approach sign (300 m). On a motorway or dual carriageway, this sign indicates that the next exit is located approximately 300 m ahead. If the exit were on the left, the diagonal would descend from left to right, and the sign would be on the left side of the road.
S‐26b. Exit approach sign (200 m). On a motorway or dual carriageway, this sign indicates that the next exit is located approximately 200 m ahead. If the exit were on the left, the diagonal would descend from left to right, and the sign would be on the left side of the road.
S-26c. Exit approach sign (100 m). On a motorway or dual carriageway, this sign indicates that the next exit is located approximately 100 m ahead. If the exit were on the left, the diagonal would descend from left to right, and the sign would be on the left side of the road.
S-30a. Pedestrian zone. Indicates an area reserved for pedestrian use, with exceptions established by the competent administration.
S-31a. End of pedestrian zone. Indicates the end of a zone reserved for pedestrian use, with exceptions established by the competent authority.
S‐34a. Tunnel layby with emergency telephone. Indicates the location of a place where a vehicle can be pulled over in a tunnel in case of emergency to clear passage and which has an emergency telephone number.
S-35. Cycle path. Indicates the existence of a path designated for bicycle use and prohibits other road users from using it.
S‐36. End of cycle lane. Indicates the end of a lane designated for cycle traffic.
S-37. Lane reserved for personal mobility vehicles. Indicates the existence of a lane designated for the circulation of personal mobility vehicles and prohibits other road users from using it.
S‐38. Vía reservada para ciclos y vehículos de movilidad personal. Indica la existencia de una vía destinada a la circulación de ciclos y vehículos de movilidad personal y prohibición a los demás usuarios de la vía de utilizarla.
S-39. End of road reserved for personal mobility vehicles. Indicates the end of a road designated for personal mobility vehicles and prohibits other road users from using it.

S‐45. Location of a cyclist crossing. Indicates the location of a cyclist crossing.
S‐46. Location of a pedestrian and cyclist crossing. Indicates the location of a pedestrian crossing attached to or shared with a cyclist crossing.
S‐47 User coexistence zone. Indicates a traffic zone intended primarily for pedestrians and to which the following special traffic rules apply: the maximum speed for vehicles is 20 km/h; traffic is shared between vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians; pedestrians have priority and may use the entire traffic zone; therefore, no pedestrian crossings are marked; bicycles may circulate in both directions, unless otherwise stipulated by the competent authority; vehicles may only park in places designated by signs or markings; games and sports are not permitted.
S-48. End of user coexistence zone. Indicates that general traffic regulations apply again.
S-49. Motorcycle or bicycle proceed. Indicates the existence of a waiting area prior to the stop line at a traffic-signalized intersection, reserved for the vehicles indicated on the sign (motorcycles and mopeds, both represented by the motorcycle pictogram, or cycles).

Pedestrians must not unnecessarily obstruct drivers.
