In simple terms, this point of the DGT theory establishes that at intersections of roads marked with a "yield" or "mandatory stop" sign, as provided for in Articles 151 and 169, drivers must always give way to vehicles travelling on the preferred road, regardless of the side from which they approach, even stopping completely when necessary and, in any case, when so indicated by the corresponding sign.
