The exam often asks where and to whom these rules apply; read the options carefully, as they frequently change a single word.
The driver of a vehicle is obliged to maintain his own freedom of movement, the necessary field of vision and constant attention to driving, in order to guarantee his own safety, that of the other occupants of the vehicle and that of other road users. To this end, he must take special care to maintain the appropriate position and to ensure that the other passengers maintain it, and to properly position any objects or animals transported so that there is no interference between the driver and any of them.
The use of devices such as screens with internet access, television monitors and video or DVD players by the driver while the vehicle is moving is considered incompatible with the mandatory constant attention to driving. Exceptions to this are the use of monitors that are visible to the driver and whose use is necessary for the vision of pedestrians entering or exiting the vehicle or for the vision in vehicles with rear-view cameras, as well as GPS devices.
