Obligations of participants.

  • All participants in a sporting event, with the exceptions provided for in these regulations, are required to comply with the specific rules of the event regulations and those established or adopted at any given time, for safety, by the person responsible for the event or the competent authority, although they are exempt from compliance with the general traffic regulations.
  • If a participant is unable to maintain the scheduled time for the last participant or exceeds the scheduled closing time for the activity control, they will be overtaken by the vehicle with the green flag, which indicates the end of the competition area. They must therefore abandon the race to avoid hindering traffic and the progress of the activity. If they continue, they must comply with the rules and signs and will be considered a road user.
