🧑✈️ 1. Causes attributable to the driver
- 🚫 Refusing alcohol or drug tests.
- 🍷 Exceeding the permitted alcohol or drug limits.
- 🪖 Not wearing a helmet (on a motorcycle or moped).
- 🐀 Not having a ticket in regulated parking zones.
- 🌍 Not proving habitual residence in Spain and not paying the fine.
- 😴 Exceeding driving time without rest.
🚗 2. Causes attributable to the vehicle
- 📄 Lack of compulsory insurance.
- 📉 Driving without a valid driving licence.
- 🌫️ Exceeding permitted emissions levels.
- 🔧 Unauthorized modifications or tampering with the vehicle.
- ❄️ Not carrying chains where they are mandatory.
- ⚠️ Not passing the ITV after a negative result.
📅 If the ITV is not carried out, the registration certificate is withdrawn and a receipt valid for 10 days is issued. If it is not passed, the vehicle may be sealed.
📦 3. Causes attributable to the load
- 📏 Load height or width greater than permitted.
- ⚖️ Mass or length exceeded by more than 10%.

- 💸 The driver must pay the expenses to be allowed to drive again.
🏗️ 5. Removal of vehicles from public roads
🚙 5.1 Immobilized or abandoned vehicles
- ⚠️ They pose a danger or are deteriorated.
- 🚨 Involved in an accident or without compulsory insurance.
- ⏳ Left for more than 2 months in an impound lot or 1 month on a public road.
🧾 5.2 How to recover it from the impound
The driver has 15 days to collect it. Otherwise, it will be treated as urban waste. To deregister the vehicle it must be taken to an authorized center with:
- 📄 Registration certificate
- 🛠️ ITV card
- 💰 Latest municipal vehicle tax receipt (if the vehicle is under 15 years old)
🚧 5.3 Improperly parked vehicles
- 🚫 Obstruct or disrupt traffic
- 🚍 Park in reserved lanes or restricted zones
- 🏢 Occupy emergency areas or pedestrian crossings
📞 A tow truck will remove these vehicles. The costs must be paid by the owner. If the vehicle represents a constant danger, it may be removed permanently by the Provincial Traffic Headquarters.
